Week 13 & 14

Greetings everyone ! For this last class, we are having a test ! Haha I hope I did well :p Then, we continued with the presentations and Q & A session with Dr Teoh. Glad that I got a chance to talk to her regarding my new topic.

Week 11 & 12

Greetings everyone ! This week, we're having a presentation where everyone have to present their projects. Everyone seems to do a very good job is presenting their projects and their projects are so good ! I feel so jealous ! I am presenting my project too, but look like I have to change my project because it is not that good and too simple for a master level :( I need to do more reading and research !

Week 9 & 10

Hi everyone ! So basically for week 9 and 10, I learnt how to do a research questions based on an article. Example in class From the article, we need to analyze it and then convert it to the research questions. It may look easy and simple, but actually it is quite hard and quite confusing. Well, that's okay. Learn to do it slowly before we succeeded. And not forgetting, read more !

Week 7 & 8

Greetings everyone ! For this week class, I couldn't attend because of my family matters. However, that doesn't stop me from studying ! I gained as much information as I can from my classmates. Thank you so much guys !  So this week, they said they learnt about variables. Basically, there are three types of variables which are independent, dependent and mediating. Then, Dr Teoh explained and taught them to how to do the analysis and hypothesis based on the given research question and research objective. This is quite interesting and I cannot wait to try and practice is myself !  Here are what they did in the class, thank you Alia Sakinah for sharing it with me Dr Teoh also share an article "Mathematics Achievement and Interest in Mathematics from a Differential Perspective" written by Aiso Heinze, Kristina Reiss, Franziska Rudolph Augsburg (Germany). This article give a very good example for us to understand and practice about variables.  Last but not

Week 5 & 6

Greetings everyone ! For this week, I finally learn about how to do a literature review from zero. Dr Teoh taught us step by step on how we should do a literature review.  To be honest, we need to understand the article first. Try and read two to three times, or maybe more. Depending on our understanding. After that, we take out the important points/paragraphs and try to paraphrase it/them. There can be two or more points from one article, or we can combine with other related articles as well. Lastly, we have to arrange all the paraphrases and combine them to become a paragraph. As shown in the pictures below, those are the example that we did together in the class. 1 2 3 4 To be honest, at that time I feel so sleepy because doing a literature review require us to read and to think more and more. However, I finally know and get to do it because basically this is my first experience as I do not do any kind of research during my degree.  So, it is advisable to

Week 3 & 4

Greeting everyone ! For this week, we learnt about type of research , qualitative and quantitative types of what we can use for our research soon.  Here are the types of research that we can use However, according to Dr Teoh, there are a few types that are very common and not suitable for master level. Therefore, it is not encourageable so try to avoid using that kind of research. On this week as well, we are told to read as much articles as we can (minimum : 10) and fullfill this table : By doing this, I can know what the objectives of the articles that I read. What is/are the research questions in the articles and also what type of instruments that the writer used. It is a good practice actually because the more we read the more we know. And research require a lot of readings ! That's all for this post, thank you !

Week 1 & 2

Greetings everyone ! Based on my first class, I got to learn about Research Methodology and its various concepts and philosophies underlying the academic research in the field of education.  This course is specifically for us, students' to develop our understanding with emphasis to aspects such as the identification of the research problem, formulating research objectives and research questions. It also involves aspects such as research strategies, research design, data collection and data interpretation techniques.  Why we must do a scientific research? Scientific research is another way of obtaining information. It is more accurate and provide reliable knowledge. This type of procedure is public since scientific research uses explicit, codified, and public methods to generate and analyse data whose reliability can therefore be assessed and hence it can be replicated. In order for us to set a tittle for our research, we must have a problem statement. Whenever we have a r
